Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu

Location was quite central making it a good place to stay if you plan on exploring KK. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We were there celebrating a birthday and the hotel was kind enough to provide a complimentary birthday cake which was delicious. The receptionist during check out and the concierge were very friendly and was able to provide us some good recommendations for places to shop for souvenirs. The breakfast was great.

Very large and clean room with nice seaview. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be any better. The pool was ok and the gym was well equipped.

This must be one of the best hotels we've stayed, in terms of standard, service and value for money. We had some very noisy kids in the adjoining room and we were promptly moved without fuss to another room. Both rooms had great views. The amenities were top as were the facilities. The breakfast was amazing, fresh and lots of variety. The vibrant market is on your doorstep. The othermain feature is their rooftop bar from where you can view that amazing sunset.

Everything! EVERYTHING! As expected of such a brand property, Le Meridien did not disappoint. Right from check in, Shahrul was amazing. I cannot thank him enough for being so kind and considerate to my family's needs. Rocky, the Concierge, was super helpful; providing advice and time to answer queries. Location-wise, Le Meridien, I dare say, is unmatched compared to the other brand-name hotels, I feel. - 2 really good massage places in the next building - Money Changer with fantastic rates in the building behind it - 2 24-hr self-laundry places within 3 minutes walk - You can walk to either of the major malls (Imago and Suria) within 15-20 minutes - Grab anywhere at around RM 8-10

Le Meridien is a very spacious and comfortable hotel where the staff go out of their way to help you with everything you need. We booked a King Room with sea view that fully lived up to expection with a superb view of Gaya Island that was great to wake up to and featured lovely sunsets. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped with large corner shower as well as a tub. Laundry was not expensive and arrived smartly pressed. Plenty of bottled water was provided daily to keep us hydrated. Breakfast is a lavish buffet that caters for all nationalities and with freshly cooked eggs the way you like it and even freshly baked croissants. There is a combined outdoor swimming pool with gym and spa on the second floor. Best time to swim is 0700 hrs when the pool is empty and you can get a good swim before breakfast. However an awning protects from the sun, so it is really useable all day long. There is a small pool alongside for small children to play in. The hotel is located just across the street from the night market which serves a wide variety of seafood, freshly (if crudely) cooked. It is about 15 minutes from the airport and within short taxi distance of the shopping malls etc.
